Botanical Garden Guided Tour

Did you know that the Botanical Garden in Linz is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in Europe, with approximately 10,000 different species of plants?

Welcome2Upper Austria invites you to visit the Botanical Garden together on May 20th.

What can you expect?

• During the visit you will get a guided tour through the garden where you will see native flora, marsh and aquatic plants, American and Asian woody plants, insect traps and much more. A special feature of the gardens is that entire groups of plants are displayed in landscapes. The largest collection of cacti in Europe, with some 1,000 species, is the highlight of any visit. There is also a rose garden showing the history of the rose, an alpine greenhouse and a tropical greenhouse.

• After the tour, we offer you the opportunity to take a short hike with us to the Freinberg and enjoy the great view of Linz from the Franz-Josefswarte lookout point. 

• To round off the tour, we will drive to the Center of Linz by bus to get something to eat.

How to get there: Bus 27 from "Taubenmarkt" (direction "Chemiepark") to "Linz Botanischer Garten" or Bus 27 from "Hauptbahnhof Linz" (direction "Fernheizkraftwerk") to "Linz Botanischer Garten". 

Fee: 5 EUR for the Botanical Garden
(Dinner and transportation are not included)

Cancellation is possible until 15.05, later cancellation will be charged fully (5 EUR)
